Isha Ambani Anand Piramal’s new Worli residence, Gulita

The wedding season is not over yet. After Deepika-Ranveer and Priyanka-Nick, it’s Isha and Anand that are going the matrimonial way this December.

Anand Piramal and Isha Ambani have been friends since childhood and the families have had strong business and personal relations for over four decades.

Anand proposed to Isha in a temple while on a vacation at Mahabaleshwar.

The wedding will happen on the 12th of December post which the happy couple will move into Gulita, a plush building turned into their residence.

The building used to be a training centre for Hindustan Lever which was then bought by the Piramals in a bidding war with Anil Ambani and the Adani group.

Gulita is a gift to the couple from the Piramals.

The 450 crore plus mansion has been 10 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a cavernous garage for all the luxury cars, a garden level, pooja ghar, a movie room, a library, a swimming pool, a ballroom and servants quarters.

The house spans 50000 sq feet space with a level 1 basement lawn, an open-air water body, and a double height multi-purpose room. The ground floor houses the entrance lobby, and the upper storeys have floor plates ranging between 8,700 square feet and 12,300 square feet,

A beautiful glass dome spans three floors in the middle of the mansion to give an unrestricted sea view from the house.

The second level from the garden level has the pooja room which is clearly visible from outside the house.

The Ambani’s are quite a devout family and regularly visit shrines like Tirupathi Balaji, Shirdi and Siddhivinayak temple. They also perform regular poojas for important occasions. So it was expected that they will perform a formal Griha Pravesh pooja before any of the family members set foot in the house.

They performed the pooja on the 2nd December as soon as the house was declared ready to live in. One could see “Shubh Labh” written on the entrance of the house after the pooja.

The restructuring was undertaken by architects Talati and Panthaky company.

Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal had a lavish engagement celebration at Lake Como this year which was a star studded event with the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas attending the event.
